Dunmore East, Ireland

August 7, 2010

The ship arrived in this tiny town right on schedule.  We got on the tender early, since it looked like rain later.  Once ashore, we strolled along the narrow street into town.  We found several grocery stores and some pubs along the way, but mostly we saw some quaint houses with spectacular views of the ocean.   It was a pleasant day for a walk and we walked about a mile and took quite a few pictures.  On the way back, Adele stopped at one of the grocery stores to stack up on a few Irish goodies.  We skipped the shuttle bus (16 Euros round trip) which would have taken us to Waterford, a larger town with more shopping opportunities and got on a tender back to the ship.
